Online Therapy Code of Conduct for Clients

To assist you gaining the maximum benefit from online therapy please note the following expectations:

The practice intake form (including the online therapy form) must be fully completed.

You have the responsibility to:

  1. provide accurate information needed for the provision of the therapy
  2. be respectful to Reception and the therapist
  3. not record or disseminate material obtained during sessions
  4. not use a session for a purpose for which it was not intended
  5. only engage with services when in situations in which it is as safe as possible or when in a fit state (e.g. not whilst driving or under the influence of drugs or alcohol)
  6. for individual therapy, be alone (unless the therapist agrees to another person being present) in a situation that affords you privacy
  7. ensure you read the list of conditions not treated and that you experience a condition for which the practice can offer therapy
  8. follow the reasonable instructions of the therapist in managing your safety or the safety of others.
